After enjoying a beautiful day at the Botanical Garden, a performance at the Wire Opera House and a walk through the German Forest, enjoying a beautiful meal is all you need to complete your Curitiba experience.

#1 Panificadora Brioche Bakery

If you are a fan of colonial breakfast, Panificadora Brioche is a great option for you and there you will find over 30 types of breads: buttery, Australian, Galician and even Coffee & Chocolate Bread. Along with the cold, salty, pies and sweets, there are more than 50 fresh products to try and delight. The bakery opens at 7am and closes at 9pm.

#2 Prestinaria

The artesanal taste of Prestinaria is very well known in Curitiba. The place is exquisite and has many options at any time of the day.

The croissants there are the best, as well as the healthy food options, in a super complete menu that includes coffee and other drinks.

They open at 7 am from Monday to Friday, and at 8 am on Saturdays and Sundays.

#3 Café do Viajante

Café do Viajante (something like Traveller’s Cafe) is a place that unites two great passions: travel and coffee. Every detail there has been thought to promote an unique experience.

There are many delights in the menu, excellent coffees, and impeccable decoration, and that is why this place has to be part of you itinerary.

LMTM Tip: Whenever you go there, try the Brazilian milk latte with Nutella (Ninho Latte com Nutella). It is amazing!

#4 Degusto Café

There are no excuses for missing Degusto Café in Curitiba! Super well located in a central neighborhood city called Batel and with an incredible facade, Degusto invites you in and you will not regret accepting it.

Degusto Café has an interesting menu, with options that go well at any time of the day.

The Cafe has a vintage feel that is very reminiscent of US cafes.

#5 Confeitaria Curitibana 

Confeitaria Curitibana is an amazing place located on the 38th floor in Bigorrilho.

The confectionery offers a panoramic view of the city (great place to visit at sunset) and the menu honors different ethnicities or allude to touristic sights of Curitiba.

They are open from 12 pm to 8 pm from Monday to Saturday.

#6 Lucca Cafés Especiais (Specialty Coffee)

For coffee lovers, Lucca Cafés Especiais is a full plate. Lucca has a collection of selected microlots of coffee, and has been awarded several times and is considered by many to be the best in Brazil.

Lucca Café opens everyday from 7h30 am to 8 pm and from 8 am to 8 pm on the weekends.

#7 Quintana Gastronomia

From the restaurants I’ve been in Curitiba, Quintana Gastronomia was my favorite.

Each day the restaurant brings a different menu based on cultures and places around the world.

Besides that, Quintana Gastronomia is a place that promotes sustainability through different aspects, for example, supporting the local economy, composting organic waste, cultivating native bee hives and encouraging the end of food waste.

Did you notice why I loved this place? Besides the extremely tasty food they also have that concern with the environment that we love so much beyond the appreciation of various cultures. I will be back for sure.

#8 Central do Abacaxi

The restaurant is housed in a rustic and welcoming home that seeks to maintain the essence of artisanal food made with organic ingredients and small producers.

#9 Ópera Arte Restaurant

Depending on the time you visit the famous Wire Opera House, it is worth staying for lunch at the Ópera Arte restaurant.

The restaurant is underground to the Opera House and promotes an unique experience amidst local nature.

It is open from Tuesday to Sunday from 10 am to 5 pm and lunch is served from 11 am to 4 pm.

#10 Sel Et Sucre Gastronomia

Sel Et Sucre is a restaurant that unites the best of contemporary French, Italian and Brazilian cuisine, and is considered one of the best restaurants in Curitiba.

Tip LMTM: As an entree worth a trying the Shrimp Vol-Au-Vent, Shrimp Ravioli with Leek Garlic as a main course, and for dessert I really enjoyed the Brûllée Trio.

The restaurant is open for lunch from Tuesday to Friday from 12 pm to 3 pm, and on weekends it is open until 4 pm.

#11 Madalosso Restaurant

Located in the Santa Felicidade neighborhood, Madalosso Restaurant is one of the most traditional in the region. Italian food is offered as “rodízio” (all you can eat) for approximately R$60 per person.

The restaurant is open daily, for lunch (11h30 am to 3h30 pm) and dinner (7pm-11pm).

#12 Churrascaria Batel Grill

Batel Grill is a barbecue place located in Batel Neighborhood and they already received several awards for excellence, including Veja Comer & Beber Curitiba in 2019.

The price on Batel Grill is R$ 100 per person (all you can eat).

They open for lunch (11:30 am to 2:45 pm), dinner (6:45 pm-11 pm) and on Sundays they work from 11:30 am to 4 pm.

#13 Largo da Ordem Fair

On Sundays, there is the Largo da Ordem Fair, which attracts hundreds of visitors and has several stalls of varied foods.

This is a great choice for those looking for a cheap place to eat in Curitiba.

In the fair, there are several stalls with handmade products, as well as art, music and street theater.

LMTM Tip: There I bought a wonderful hibiscus jelly!

The fair takes place from 9 am to 2 pm in the historical sector, in Largo da Ordem Square.

#14 Terraza 40

With a panoramic view, dishes representing different regions of the world and a wine list with more than 350 options from 15 countries, Terraza 40 is a perfect tourism and gastronomy experience in Curitiba.

The restaurant is open from Tuesday to Sunday from 12 noon to 4 pm for lunch, and every day for dinner from 7 pm to 11 pm.

#15 Taj Bar

With influences from diverse cultures, the sophisticated and often award-winning Taj Bar brings a contemporary menu with a touch of Indo-Asian cuisine.

And the cool thing is that the house promotes different nights every day of the week and brings a different concept to drinks: the Taj Pharmacy.

The Bar is open Monday to Saturday from 5:30 pm to 2 am and Sundays from 6 pm to 8 pm.

#16 Bar do Alemão 

Would you like to know where to eat “Carne de Onça” in Curitiba? Bar do Alemão is a traditional bar in the city where you can find typical German dishes such as “Eisbein” (pork knuckle) and “Carne de Onça” “, a dish made with grounded meat seasoned with salt, black pepper and nutmeg. Be sure to drink “submarino” too.

Open daily from 11 am to 2 am. Including Sundays and holidays.

#17 A Caiçara 

A Caiçara is a restaurant dedicated to caiçara cuisine, which uses fresh coastal food in dishes that appeal to all styles.

There you can taste the famous Barreado, as mentioned in our article about Morretes, is a dish made of cooked meat with a very striking seasoning, accompanied by cassava flour and bananas.

The restaurant is open from Wednesday to Friday from 6 pm to 12 am, Saturdays from 12 noon to 12 am and Sundays from 12 noon to 4 pm.

#18 Tour de Boteco

Hello bar lovers, you will really enjoy this experience! The Boteco Tour is a guided tour on the best bars in Curitiba and promotes interaction between the participants.

Each group consists of 8 to 15 people and there are 8 itinerary options that go through 4 bars each. The value is approximately R$ 80 per person.

Mercadoteca is a cultural gastronomic space that brings together several proposals in one place. There you can try several different cuisines, and it is a great place to go in groups.

#21 Municipal Market

The Curitiba Municipal Market was founded in 1958 and attracts many residents and visitors of Curitiba. In the market there are several stalls with spices, cheese, fruits, vegetables and lots of crafts.

Definitely is a great place to visit, shopping and also to grab a nice meal in one of the market restaurants.
